An outstanding attendance of CORC in Egypes 2025
In its 8th edition, and along the three days of Egypt Energy Show conference (Egypes 2025), an outstanding attendance of Cairo Oil Refining Company (CORC), headed by Eng.Wael M. Rizk, has been noticeable. CORC's chairman and his task-force have set a target to open channels of communication and build bridges of cooperation with as much as possible of NOCs, IOCs, and international key-players in oil, gas, and energy industry, taking the advantages of CORC's professional human capital and capabilities, and raising the slogan of "More than a refinery". During their attendance, CORC's chairman and his task-force have visited booths some of the sister companies in Egyptian Oil&Gas sector to discuss the power of integration, side-by-side to setting action-plans for different challenges being faced, putting CORC's capabilities on the track to provide technical support to fill the gaps as fast as possible. The activities also witnessed the signature of MOUs with some NOCs, vendors, and key-players in the industry for the collaborative works that will help to raise operational performance, enhance energy efficiency, and improve Carbon footprint, providing a guarantee for CORC to continue the legacy journey and its stargetic role to secure needs of petroleum products for the regions of Great Cairo and Nile Delta, emphasizing CORC's presence as one of the most effective state-owned refineries in Egypt.

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi opens the Egypt International Energy Conference and Exhibition EGYPES
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi opened the Egypt International Energy Conference and Exhibition in the presence of the President of Cyprus, Mr. Engineer Karim Badawy, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, and a number of ministers, and with the participation of the Cairo Oil Refining Company under the leadership of Mr. Engineer Wael Rizk, Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Engineer / Wael Rizk The company’s investment budget is estimated at 4 billion and 471 million pounds, reducing emissions by 40 thousand tons
During the General Assembly meeting to approve the planning budget for the fiscal year 2025/2026, Eng. Wael Rizk, Chairman of the Company, reviewed the most important performance indicators, indicating that it is planned to refine 8.65 million tons, of which 7.2 million tons are for the Mostorod plant and 1.45 for the Tanta plant, while the total savings resulting from the flare gas recovery project amounted to $4 million annually and emissions were reduced by 40 thousand tons of carbon dioxide equivalent in addition to 210 thousand kilowatts in the period July - December 2024 as a result of electricity rationalization projects and the use of solar energy in administrative buildings.

Honoring distinguished employees in implementing the company’s safe work systems
In accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation regarding the priority of implementing safe work systems in petroleum companies. Cairo Oil Refining Company organized an awareness and encouragement stand for continuous improvement in implementing safe work systems in the company in the presence of Eng. Wael Rizk (Chairman of the Board of Directors) who stressed the need to comply with all procedures aimed at continuous improvement in terms of risk management in the company, expressing his happiness with the increase in the level of awareness and commitment among employees in implementing safe work systems with the participation of all employees in the system.
