Thanks to his bold technical decisions and well-thought-out plans, he was able to reduce flare emissions by 60%, which directly impacted energy conservation and reduced harmful carbon emissions.
This achievement placed the plant on the map of environmental excellence.
In light of these successes, he assumed the position of Assistant Chairman of the Board of Directors and Head of the Geographic Region, emphasizing that leadership does not come by chance, but rather is attained through hard work, vision, and results.
Engineer Sayed Youssef has been awarded the rank of consultant and expert in refining units by the Engineers Syndicate, a professional recognition that reflects the extent of his extensive contributions.
He also played a pivotal role in preparing the preliminary studies and planning for the Egyptian Refining Company (ERC) project, in addition to his participation in numerous external projects for several companies in the Egyptian petroleum sector.
His mark has not been lost on the academic scene. In 2015, he received the Best Scientific Research Award in the Development of Refining and Petrochemical Plants from the Egyptian Petroleum Association.
In terms of quality, he contributed to the Tanta plant obtaining carbon footprint and quality certificates in the fields of safety, environment, and energy efficiency, emphasizing that excellence is only complete when combined with sustainable impact.
